What is Hippotherapy?
Hippotherapy is a physical, occupational, or speech therapy treatment strategy that uses the movement of a horse as part of a patient's plan of care. The horse's rhythmic, repetitive movement helps improve balance, coordination, posture, strength, sensory processing, communication, and functional mobility.
Licensed therapists use evidence-based treatment techniques while carefully directing the horse's movement to meet each patient's individual goals.

Why the Horse?
A horse's movement closely mimics the natural movement of the human pelvis during walking.
This unique movement provides dynamic sensory and motor input that cannot be easily replicated in a traditional setting.
The horse also creates an engaging and motivating environment that encourages participation and functional progress.
